What can we do for you?

Hospice is a philosophy of care that focuses on comfort and quality of life while supporting you and your loved ones during an advanced terminal illness. The purpose of hospice care is to allow a patient and their loved ones to spend meaningful time with one another and enable you to live each day to the fullest as comfortably and dignified as possible.

Who can receive hospice care?

Anyone diagnosed with limited life expectancy, meaning less than 6 months, can receive Alliance Hospice care. A physician certifies the terminal illness and collaborates with the Alliance Hospice team for appropriate services. Many patients have cancer but Alliance Hospice cares for those with all other terminal illnesses including hospice care for heart disease patient, hospice care for chronic lung disease, hospice care for kidney disease patients, neurological disorders, Alzheimer’s, and other dementias.

Paying for hospice care

Determining how to pay for hospice care is one of the first things that patients and their families will research. At Alliance Hospice, hospice care and support services are available to anyone, regardless of type of insurance or financial resources available. No one who needs our services will be turned away regardless of their ability to pay.

When to consider hospice care.

The word Hospice often comes as a shock for many people. They automatically associate the word with “dying.” One day everyone will come face-to-face with their own mortality. Hospice is a philosophy of care focused on comfort, quality of life, and assisting those nearing the end of life. Hospice celebrates life and supports the individual needs of the patient and loved ones.
